Title |
Bond of Corroboration by James Stirling of Achill, with consent of Margrat Haldane, his spouse, and both with consent of Patrick Munteith of Arnbeg, whereby, in corroboration of a bond for 500 merks granted by the said James Stirling as principal and the said Patrick Munteith as cautioner to Mr. Thomas Napeir in Ballochairne and in consideration of his willingness for the time to "supperceid and continow" the said principal sum in their hands, they bound and obliged themselves to infeft him in an annual of £20 Scots furth of the lands of Achill possessed by John Blair and John Macgregor: Further the said Patrick Munteith, who was infeft in said lands of Achill, renounced his rights therein until the said Mr. Thomas Napeir was satisfied and paid for the annual-rents due for the said principal sum: With precept of sasine.
