Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of William [Mitchell], notary public, of the sheriffdom of Air, following upon and narrating the precept of sasine in letter of exoneration and discharge (dated at Machlein 27 September 1655) by Allan, Lord Cathcart, baron of the barony of Dalmellingtoune, whereby he discharged David Craufurd of Kers of the feu-duty of £15 Scots due by him in terms of his feu charter furth of the £4 land of Glenmuk, Dalfarsan and Auchmaddie lying in King's Kyle and sheriffdom of Air, for all terms bygone and to come, and in security thereof bound and obliged himself to infeft him in an annual-rent of £15 Scots equivalent to the above feu-duty furth of the merkland of Cloquharnan lying in the barony of Sundrome, King's Kyle and sheriffdom foresaid. Sasine given upon the ground of the merkland of Cloquharnan by David Craufurd of Drumsoy, bailie of the granter in that part, to the said David Craufurd of Kers on 28 August 1657 |
