Title |
Contract of Wadset between James Stirling of Ballwill, with consent of Williame Stirling of Harbertschyre, his eldest son and apparent heir, on the one part, and Williame Sinclair of Banks and Helen Hendersone, his spouse, on the other part, whereby the first party, in consideration of the sum of 2000 merks Scots paid to him by the second parties, binds and obliges himself to infeft them and the longer liver of them and their heirs and assignees in an annual-rent of £80 Scots, "still to be augment it or diminisched conforme to the lawes of this land", furth of his lands of Achyle, extending to a forty shilling land of old extent, lying in the "laitt" stewartry of Monteathe and sheriffdom of Perthe, redeemable, in terms of letter of reversion to be granted by the second parties, by payment of the principal sum in the parish kirk of Port, on 40 days warning.
