Title |
Instrument of Sasine (faint) under the hand of Andro Sloand, one of the clerks within the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating a precept of clare constat (dated at Air 29th December 1652) by David Crawfurd of Kers, addressed to Johne Schaw, younger of Grimat, his bailie in that part, for infefting William Crawfurd, as nearest and lawful heir of Quentein Crawfurd in Sellieheill, his father, in the 33 shilling and 8 penny land of old extent of Glenheid (sometime occupied by Peter McCaddam) and the 6 shilling and 8 penny land of the same extent of Shalloch ( sometime occupied by Thomas McDill) lying in the earldom of Carrik and sheriffdom of Air; which lands are held of the granter for payment of 1d Scots, conform to charter granted by him to the said Quentein Crawfurd, and Margaret Wylie, his spouse, (GD86/494) Sasine given upon the ground of said lands, on 31st December 1652, by the said Johne Schaw to the said William Crawfurd |

Description |
Witnesses to the precept, David Crawfurd of [? Drumsoy] William Mitchell, portioner of Barmure, and William Mitchell, his son. Witnesses to the sasine, Andro Huntar in Glenheid, John Huntar and James Huntar, his sons, and William Gemmill in Glencraig. The precept is written by James Schaw, servitor to William Mitchell, writer in Air.
