Title |
Letter of Tack by Mr. Hew Henrysone, minister of Drumfreis, parson and vicar of the parish of Drumfreis, both burgh and landward, whereby, on the narrative that Mr. Johne Cunynghame of Dargavells and his predecessors have been kindly tacksmen of the teinds of the 40 shilling land of Dargavells of old extent lying in the parish and sheriffdom of Drumfreis, he sets to him and his heirs and successors the parsonage and vicarage teinds of said lands, for 3 years from the date hereof, "and efter the ishe and outrining of the said first thrie zeires ffor all the dayes space zeires and termes of uther thrie zeires thairefter, and efter the ishe and expyring of the secund thrie zeires ffor all the dayes space zeires and terms of uther thrie zeires thairefter, and sua furth frae thrie zeires in thrie zeires during all the dayes space zeires and termes of my lyfteme and thrie zeires thairefter", at a rent of £23 Scots payable at Candlemas yearly.
