Title |
Memorandum containing representations by Robert Carre, son of Sir James Carr of Creline, to Lord Balmerino, concerning the late Lord Balmerino's intromissions with the lands of Creline, Hundally, Semmeston and Jedburgh and the teinds of Litlenewtoune. Lord Balmerino is asked to take into consideration the intention of the memorialist's father regarding the said Robert's right to Creline, as attested by his mother to his lordship in presence of Lord Couper, Mr. Robert Dalglish and Adem Wate, W.S. "within twenty dayes efter her husbands deceasse in the Gallery in Leith". The late Lord Balmerino "did shew his good intentiones towardes the said Robert in that particulare to Mr. John Weire, minester at Leith, all which being considered, besydes his neere interest in blood to his lordship, deserves a sufficient satisfactione or at lest that his lordship will fullfill the intentiones of his fathere to him".
