Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of Archibald Lorne, Master of Arts, clerk, of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that in terms of the precept of sasine in the preceding charter Mr. James Pettiegrow of Sutarehous gave sasine propriis manibus of one half of the above lands to the said William Jack (personally present and accepting) and Elizabeth Cullen, his spouse (by the hand of Quintigern Jack, merchant in Glasgow, her attorney) and to the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, to the heirs and assignees of the said William whomsoever; and of the other half thereof to the said William Jack and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between him and his said spouse, whom failing, to his heirs and assignees whomsoever. Done upon the ground of said lands on 21 January 1643 |

Witnesses, James Pettiegrew in Dundyven, Alexander Pettiegrew, lawful son of the said James Pettiegrew of Sutarehous, Robert Dickiesoune, tenant of the above lands, and John Wood.
Written at foot of Instrument:- "18 Februar 1643. Producit be William Jack and payit 30 s."
