Title |
Charter by James Pettiegrew (Pettingrew) of Sutarhous, with consent of Elizabeth Bailzie, his spouse, and James Pettiegrew, his eldest son, whereby in implement of their part of a contract of feu-farm (of the date of these presents) entered into between them, on the one part, and William Jack, merchant, citizen of Glasgow, and Elizabeth Cullen, his spouse, on the other part, and for large sums of money contained therein, they granted (1) to the said William Jack and spouse and to the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, to the heirs and assignees of the said William whomsoever, one-half of the lands of Muirmachleine and Patouniswall with the part of Langlonemos corresponding and pertaining thereto pro rata and (2) to the said William Jack and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between him and his said spouse, whom failing, to his heirs and assignees whomsoever, the other half of said lands with the part of Langlonemos corresponding thereto; which lands, occupied by John Mudie, John Wood and Robert Dickiesoune and extending to a six shilling land, are proper parts of the thirty shilling lands of Paddochen, lying within the barony of Monkland and sheriffdom of Lanerk, and are bounded by the lands of Dundyven on the south, the lands of Gartschairie on the north, the lands of the laird of Innervick on the west, and the lands of Coates and Waynefuird on the east: To be held de me, for payment of (1) the sum of six shillings and eight pence Scots in name of feu-farm, (2) the thirl multure to the Mill of Haggis, and (3) thirteen shillings and four pence Scots in the first year of the entry of heirs and assignees to the said lands: With precept of sasine.
