Title |
(1) Minute of Tack between Mr. James Hamyltoun, minister of Drumfres, and Mr. John Cunynghame of Dargavellis, whereby the former sets to the latter the parsonage teinds of the 40 shillinglands of Dargavell in the parish of Drumfres for all the time that he shall serve the cure at the kirk of Drumfres and three years thereafter, at a yearly rent of £20 Scots, the first payment being due at Candlemas 1643. At Drumfress 29 August 1642. Witnesses, Mr. Cuthbert Cunynghame, notary, and Roger Kirkpatrik, bailie of Drumfres.
Signed by the granter and witnesses.
(2) Discharge by the said Mr. James Hamyltoun, granting that he had received from Cunyghame full satisfaction for the parsonage teinds of said lands for crops and years 1640 and 1641 and £20 for the tack duty for crop 1642 due at Candlemas following; and discharging him thereof. Same place, date and witnesses as above.

(3) Receipt by the said Mr. James Hamyltoun granting that he had received from Cunyghame £20 for the parsonage teinds of said lands for crop and year 1643 payable at Candlemas following. Dated 4 December 1643 |
