Title |
Charter by William Zoung, portioner of Mekil Denovane, whereby in implement of the contract of marriage entered into between him and Margaret Osuall, his spouse, he granted to her in liferent, one half of his portion of the lands of Mekle Denovane called Midle Barnego, lying in the barony of Herbershyre and sheriffdom of Stirling, in full satisfaction of her terce but under reservation of the liferent of Jonet McAndrow, relict of Robert Zoung, the granter's brother: To be held a me for payment to John Stirling of Herbershyre, the granter's superior, of 30 shillings and six pence Scots of feu farm and for performance of the provisions contained in the original infeftments of said lands: With precept of sasine addressed to David Zoung at the Kirk of Dennye. Description |
Witnesses, James McAndro, indweller in Edinburgh, John McAndro in Barnego, his father, John Osuall, portioner of Denny, and Andro Osuall, his son. Writer of the charter, John Duncan, servitor of John Williamsoun, clerk of the sheriffdom and burgh of Stirling. The granter, who cannot write, signs with his hand at the pen led by John Williamson and David Zoung, notaries public. Seal gone. |
