Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of Patrick Lyndesay, presbyter of the diocese of St. Andrews, notary public, narrating that William Meffane, son of Andrew Meffane, passed to the presence of David Broice of Clakmennen, knight, superior of the lands aftermentioned, and resigned a tenement, yard and croft with pertinents, lying on the north side of the High Street of the town of Clakmennen, between the land of the late Peter Blak, on the east and the land of Sir David Arkylle, chaplain on the other sides, with the pasture of a cow in the common of said town, into his hands; and that the superior thereupon gave sasine of said subjects to the said William Meffane and Jonet Byssat, his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment, under reservation of the liferent of the said Andrew Meffane. Done on the ground of said lands on 21 August 1507 |
