Charter by John Turnbull of Mekle Catpair, with consent of William Turnbull, formerly portioner of Philliphauche, his father, whereby in implement of a contract of marriage (of the date of these presents) entered into between the said William Turnbull and himself, on the one part, and Agnes Murray, his future spouse, natural daughter of Walter Murray of Levingstoun, he granted to her in liferent the Eistsyde of Meikle Catpair, lying within the regality of St. Andrews and sheriffdom of Edinburgh: To be held a me, for payment to John, archbishop of St. Andrews, and his successors of one-half of the feu-farm duties due for said lands: With precept of sasine addressed to Thomas Allane in Meikle Catpair.
