Title |
Renunciation by Patrik Monteithe, eldest lawful son of Johne Monteithe of Kep, narrating that by contract (dated at the Kirk of the Port 8th June and 10th November 1633) entered into between James Stirling of Balwill with consent of Margaret Halden, his spouse, on the one part, and him on the other part, the said James Stirling with consent of his spouse in consideration of the sum of £2000 Scots paid to them, sold to him the town and lands of Achyle, extending to a twenty shilling land of old extent, lying in the stewartry of Monteyth and sheriffdom of Perthe, in which he was infeft on 8th June 1633 conform to Instrument of Sasine taken under the hands of Robert Muschet, notary public, and registered in the Register of Sasines Vol. VI fol. 55 for the stewartry of Monteyth by Mr. John Rollok, keeper thereof; and that in consideration of the repayment of the said sum of £2000 Scots, he renounced, resigned and overgave to and in favour of the said James Stirling, the said lands above conveyed.
