Title |
Instrument of Sasine (defective) under the hand of Patrick Scott, clerk of the diocese of St. Andrews, notary public, following upon and narrating a precept of sasine contained in two charters (dated 24th May 1632) by Andrew alias David Gray of Meikill Catpair, granting to Walter Murray of Colmesliehill and Elizabeth Pringill, his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment and the heirs male lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, to the lawful and nearest heirs male of the said Walter Murray and his assignees whomsoever, the town and lands of Mekill Catpair, lying within the regality of St.Andrews and sheriffdom of Edinburgh; one of the said charters to be held of the granter in free blench-farm and the other from him of John, Archbishop of St. Andrews, and his successors in the archbishopric. Sasine given upon the ground of said lands on 26th May 1632 by Alexander Thomsone in Colmeslihill, bailie in that part to the said Walter Murray and to John Pringill of Torsonce as attorney for the said Elizabeth Pringill, his daughter |

Witnesses to the sasine John Thomsone in Stow, James Scott, messenger there, Gavin Ellot, William Turnbull and Thomas Patersone, servitors of the said Walter Murray. Writer of the charters, James Butter, servitor to the said Mr. Francis Hay. Writer of the Instrument of Sasine, Adam Scott, servitor of the notary.
