Title |
Charter Under the Great Seal of King Charles I. whereby for himself and as lawful administrator for Prince Charles Steward of Scotland, his son, with consent of William, Earl of Mortoun, Treasurer, and John Lord Stewart of Traquair, Treasurer-depute, he granted to John Mure, lawful son of the late James Mure younger of Auchindraine, his heirs and assignees whomsoever, (1) the 8 merklands of old extent of Manyhagane and Keyrmoyne lying in King's Kyle and sheriffdom of Air; and (2) the £10 lands of old extent of Auchindraine with tower, manor-place, mill of Auchindraine, mill-lands etc. and the £5 lands of Corvar, Culcroy Culroy in Precept infra and `RMS' VIII, No. 1960 and Chapeldonald with manor-place, mills, fishings etc. lying in the earldom of Carrik and sheriffdom foresaid; which lands pertained to James Earl of Abircorne and were resigned by him into the hands of the Lords of Exchequer at Halyruidhous conform to Instrument under the hand of Robert Pringill, notary public: To be held the said lands of Manyhagane and Keyrmoyne of the king, and the others of the Steward of Scotland, for payment of the rights and services used and wont.
