Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of John Leckie, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating a Precept of Clare Constat (dated at the Mill of Blarfad 3 February 1620) by John Cwnynghame of Drumquhassill, addressed to Walter Logane, son of John Logane of Balvie, for infefting John Grahame, burgess of Striveling now in Synnochall, as heir of Katherine Grahame, daughter of the late Robert Grahame in Synnochall, his sister, in an annual rent of 2½ bolls oatmeal furth of the lands of Blarfad, lying in the parish of Drymen and sheriffdom of Striveling, which was redeemable on payment of 100 merks. Sasine given upon the ground of said lands on 3 February 1627 by the said Walter Logane |

Description |
Witnesses to the precept, Kentigern Edie in Cragivarne, Bartholomew Miller at the Mill of Blarfad and the notary. Witnesses to the sasine, the said Kentigern Edie and Bartholomew Miller and Duncan Mackmichall, servitor to the said John Grahame. The Instrument is said to be registered in the P.R.S. for Stirling on 31st March 1627, Vol. 4, fol. 4, but is actually registered on 7th February 1627, Vol. 4, fol. 8. |
