Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of Walter Robertsone, clerk of the burgh of Aberden, notary public, narrating that Andrew Leslie, burgess of Abirden, of his own free will with consent of Elizabeth Mutray, his spouse, resigned his tenement (conquest by him from Mr. George Bissett, burgess of said burgh) viz. the land, as well fore as inner, (interiorem) with houses, buildings, yard, close and pertinents, lying on the south side of the Nether Kirkgate between the foreland formerly the property of James Brabner and now of John Carnie and the inner land and yard of Henry Forbes on the east, the land of the late David Fergussoun now of John Galloway and Andrew Birny on the west, the Hill of St. Katherine on the south, and the common king's highway on the north, into the hands of Mr. John Mortimer, one of the bailies of said burgh, by one penny of "outtool", in favor of Gilbert Leslie, burgess of said burgh, to whom the bailie gave sasine upon the ground of said tenement on 28 July 1625 in terms of said resignation and of the charter granted thereupon, under reservation of the liferent of Jonet Bissett, relict of Patrick Bissett, burgess of said burgh |
