Title |
Disposition by (1) Robert Campbell of Drongy, lawful second son of the late Donald Campbell alias Robertglassoune of Drongy, with consents of Agnes Forrester, his spouse, and (2) Johnne Campbell of Raheavin, eldest brother german of the said Robert, whereby, in consideration of the sum of 2000 merks Scots, they bound and obliged themselves to infeft Williame Stirling of Auchyll in the five merk land of old extent of Balfowres-Drongy and the 22 shilling land of old extent of Noreis-Drongy with the loch and isle thereof, lying in the stewartry of Monteith and sheriffdom of Perth. Further, the said Robert Campbell with consent of his spouse and brother constituted the said William Stirling his cessioner and assignee in and to (1) a contract entered into between the late James Campbell formerly of Drongy, afterwards laird of Ardkinglas, and the said Donald Campbell, whereby the former bound and obliged himself to infeft the latter in the said lands of Balfowres-Drongy and Noreis-Drongy to which contract he acquired right under the contract of marriage (dated 8 and 31 March 1614) entered into between Harrie Forrester elder of Corstorphen, George Forrester fiar thereof and the said Agnes Forrester, on the one part, and the said Donald Campbell, Johnne Campbell and himself, on the other part; (2) the charter and other writs following thereupon and (3) the maills, ferms and duties of the said lands for the crop and year 1623 and all subsequent years. Witnesses, Archibald Campbell of Kilmoune, Johne Campbell of Clachane, Coline Campbell fiar of Carrik, Archibald Campbell, son of the foresaid Johne Campbell of Raheavin, and Johne McLachlane servitor to the said Archibald Campbell of Kilmoune.
