Title |
Charter (defective) under the Great Seal by Charles, Prince and Steward of Scotland, granting to Sir William Cwnnynghame of Capringtoun, knight, his heirs and assignees whomsoever, the £10 land of old extent of Cambuskeith with tower, manor-place, mills etc. lying in the bailiary of Cwnnynghame and sheriffdom of Air which the said Sir William resigned into his hands at Edinburgh: To be held de nobis, [rendering therefor £10 Scots and 13 shilling and 4 pence of augmentation in name of feu-farm and doubling the said duties on the entry of heirs and assignees]: Moreover the Prince ratified the Charter under the Great Seal of King James VI (dated at Edinburgh 19th January 1619) in favor of Sir William of the above lands.
