Title |
Instrument under the hand of Robert Cunynghame, clerk of the diocese of St. Andrews, notary public, narrating that Alexander Cunynghame of Polmais Cunyngham, knight, and Robert Cunyngham, his son and apparent heir, passed to the presence of James Abircrummy, burgess of Striveling, and spoke the following words, viz:- "Her we ar redy to giff zow four merkis worth of oure landis of Auchinbowy fre, and nocht to gif to ws nothtir maile nor nane vthir deweteis tharfor, ay and quhile that we caus zow to haf the twa merkis worth of lande that Jonet Striveling hes of ws; and alsua we ar redy her to fulfill and kep all the poyntis and articulis contenit in our souerane lordis letteres impetrat and raisit be zow". Done in the parish church of the burgh of Striveling on 25th September 1502 |
