Title |
Renunciation of Johne Slwmen and Williame Makkynnell in Auchincreith for themselves and on behalf of the remanent tenants in Auchincreith, heritable proprietors of a merkland in Bruntskarth, lying in the parish and sheriffdom of Drumfreis, whereby, on the narrative that Adame Cwnyghame, advocate, has acquired a heritable right to the 40 shilling land of Dargavell in the said parish from the Crown, and that he has obtained a decree thereupon ordaining them to flit and remove from the said lands, of which that part of the "medow of Dargavell now deykit in and possest be the said Adame as the deyke is cassin just fornenst the westmest end of the said Adames proper land of Dargavell callit Meggishirst" is a proper part and pertinent, they have renounced in his favor all right, title and interest they have in and to said portion. Further they declare that those of their number who made "sinister informatioun" to the Earl of Melros, regarding the said Adame have 'delt wrangously' and discharge him of all that may follow thereupon.
