Title |
Certified Copy Retour of Inquest held in the Tolbooth of the burgh of Air by Robert Reid, messenger, sheriff depute of the sheriffdom of Air, on 6th April 1619, finding that David Crawfurd of Kers was nearest and lawful heir male and of taillie to David Crawfurd of Kers, nepotis fratris abavi, in the lands of Anniean Acnon (Auchinean) in Retours (Ayr) No. 186, one-half of the lands of Schillauch, the lands of Auchinreoch and Glenheid with the mill of Carrick-muir, the lands of Balthomas, Kilbryd, Hogistoune and one-half merkland of Byre of Thomastoun, extending to a £10 land of old extent, with one half of the mill thereof and pertinents, lying in the earldom of Carrick and sheriffdom of Air, (N.E. £30 Scots, O. E. £10 Scots) which were held of the Prince and Steward of Scotland, for payment annually of four bolls corn and a pair of white spurs in name of blench-farm |
