Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine (defective) under the hand of John Masoun, common clerk of the burgh of Air, notary public, narrating that Alexander Schaw, indweller in the burgh of Air, procurator duly and lawfully constituted for Duncan Craufurd of Drumsuy, resigned the tenement of land described in GD86/432 into the hands of Donald Smyth, one of the bailies of the said burgh, in favour of William Stewart, brother-german of Josias Stewart of Bonytoun, and Mariot Makalexander his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment, and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, the heirs, assignees and successors of the said William whomsoever: to whom the bailie gave sasine accordingly upon the ground of said tenement on 30th August 1617 in terms of a letter of disposition granted to them by the said Duncan Craufurd: To be held of the king in free burgage for service of burgh used and wont |
