Title |
Charter of Resignation by Sir John Weimys elder of that Ilk, knight, and John Weimys fiar of that Ilk granting to David Weimys of Fengask and the heirs male lawfully procreated or to be procreated of his body, whom failing, to Henry Weimys of Fudie and the heirs male to be lawfully procreated of his body, whom failing, to the heirs or assignees of the said David whomsoever, the lands of Kilmwkis Eister and Coliestoun with the tower etc. of Kilmwkis Eister, which were resigned into their hands by Mr. Allexander Levingstoun, advocate, with consent of James Ballantyne of Kilmwkis conform to the Procuratory of Resignation GD86/421: To be held de me, rendering for the lands of Kilmwkis Eister a pair of gloves and for the lands of Coliestoun a silver penny Scots in name of blench ferm: With precept of sasine addressed to David Landellis of Cowll. Witnesses, Patrick Weimys of Rumgallie, David Weimys, his eldest son, Mr. William Weimys, advocate, Allexander Weimys, son of John Weimys of Monturpie, Robert Auchmoutie, servitor of the said Sir John Weimys, Archibald Neilsoun, servitor of the said David Weimys of Fengask, and Mr. Walter Suanton (Suintoune) servitor of the said Henry Weimys of Fudie. The charter is written by David Dog, servitor of Mr. William Weimys, advocate in St.Andrews. Signed by the granters and witnesses. The two seals which are attached are identical:- 1 and 4. A lion rampant. 2 and 3. A lion rampant. Initials at top and sides of chield I S V. Legend (Caps.), S.D.Iohannis.Wemys.D.Eod'. Militis. |
