Title |
Charter of Confirmation by Sir John Weymes of that Ilk, knight, and John Weymes, fiar of that Ilk, his eldest lawful surviving son, confirming a charter (dated at Edinburgh 26th July 1615) by Mr. William Drummond of Halthorndene, whereby in implement of letters of obligation (of even date with the charter) he granted to Mr. John Scot of Scottistarvet, director of chancery, and his heirs male and assignees whomsoever, the lands of Wester Tarvet otherwise called Weymes Tarvet, with pertinents, lying in the barony of Weymes and sheriffdom of Fyif: To be held a me of the said Sir John Weymes and his son, superiors of said lands, rendering therefor to them the sum of 40 shillings Scots yearly in name of feu-farm: With precept of sasine.
