Title |
Letters of Reversion by Alexander Bruce, lawful son of Captain James Bruce in Airth, granting that the lands in GD86/414 conveyed to him by Archibald Edmestone of Ballintone, with consent of Mariorie Edmestone, his spouse, should be redeemable (a) on delivery to him of sufficient discharges of the principal sums contained in the letters of reversion specified in GD86/414 for repayment of which he became cautioner and of any other sums of money for which he was bound as cautioner for the grantee, and (b) on payment of the sum of 8000 merks Scots for redemption of an annualrent of 800 merks Scots due to him furth of the said lands within the parish church of Striviling on 40 days warning; consignation if necessary to be in the hands of the thesaurer or dean of guild of Striviling |
