Title |
Instrument of Resignation under the hand of Alexander Litiljohnne, notary public, narrating that Robert Auchtmowtie, lawful son of Florence Auchtmowtie of Hahill, procurator (conform to letters of procuratory in his favour dated at Glasclune, Eister Moncreiff and Chappell of Wemys 23 June and 5 August 1614) for (1) Georg Hering, son and heir of the late Euphame Spens (one of the three daughters and heirs of umquhile Mr. Johne Spens of Condie) and Sir David Hering of Glasclune, knight, her spouse, and (2) Jeane Spens, another of the said three daughters and heirs, with consent of the said Sir David Hering as administrator for his son, Sir John Moncreif of Kynmonth, knight, spouse of the said Jeane Spens, and Marioun Spens, relict of James Bellenden of Spittell, the third of the said three daughters and heirs, passed to the personal presence of Sir Johne Wemys elder of that Ilk, knight, and Johne Wemys, his son, fiar thereof, and there resigned into their hands the "tua pairt" of the lands of Kilmukis Eister and Collistoun with the "tua pairt" of the tower, fortalice, etc., lying in the barony of Kilconquhar and sheriffdom of Fyiff in favour of the said Marioun Spens, in liferent, and James Bellenden, her son, in fee.
