Letter of Reversion by James Robiesone yr. in Easter Frew and Jonet Kay his spouse, granting that part of the lands of Ballentone called Easter Kers (occupied by them) bounded by the "dykis callit the dubill dykes on the west, that house and zaird occupyet be Johne Mentethe and that got or myre that leidis thairfra to that pairt of the said Kers callit the Hors Waird and Brome Wairde, set in take and assedatione to Stewin Hardie and Stewin Forsyth, on the east, that pairt of the said Kers callit the Ridlingvane on the north, and the Watter of Gudie on the south pairtis" (excepting and reserving the Hors Waird and set in tack as aforesaid with the Ridlingvane), lying in the stewartry of Mentethe and sheriffdom of Perth, sold to them and the longer liver of them and the heirs lawfully gotten or to be gotten betwixt them, whom failing, to the said James' nearest and lawful heirs and assignees whomsoever, by Archibald Edmestoun of Ballentone, with consent of Mariorie Edmestoun, his spouse, and Johne Edmestoun, their eldest son and apparent heir, should be redeemable by payment of the sum of 1100 merks Scots within the parish kirk of Stirling on 40 days warning; consignation if necessary to be in the hands of the dean of guild or thesaurer of Stirling and redemption being suspended for eleven years from Whitsunday 1611.
