Title |
Retour of Inquest made at Gallowness, on l9th August 1487, in presence of James Wischeart of Pittarow, sheriff depute of Kyncardin, finding that William Hay was lawful and nearest heir of the late Gilbert Hay, his father, in the lands of the lordship of Vry, (N. E. £26, O. E. £12) and in an annualrent of 20 shillings from the lands of Munquhalis (N.E. and O. E. 20/-), in the sheriffdom of Kyncardin; and that the said lands and annualrent are held of the Earl of Eroll, in whose hands they have been for about three years through failure of the heir to prosecute his right.
