Charter of Sale (injured by damp) by Sir James Scott of Balwerie, knight, whereby in implement of a contract (dated 12th November 1604) entered into between him, on the one part, and Mr. Alexander Syme, advocate, and Margaret Tod, his spouse, on the other part, he granted to them and the longer liver of them in conjunct fee and to the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, to the heirs and assignees of the said Mr. Alexander whomsoever, his lands and acres of Briglandis of Innerteill, with the tower and fortalice thereof called Sanct Katharenes Chapell, lying in the constabulary of Kingorne and sheriffdom of Fyff: To be held de me for payment of a silver penny Scots in name of blench farm: With precept of sasine: At the Burgh of Kirkcaldy 29th January 1607 |
