Title |
Letters of Procuratory (defective) by Patrick Hammiltone of Lewingstone and Euphame Setoun, his spouse, with consent of Johne Cokburne of Clerkintone for his interest, whereby, in implement of a contract entered into between them, on the one part, and Alexander, Earl of Linlythqw, on the other part, they constituted procurators (names blank) for resigning the lands and barony of Lewingstone (described in No. GD86/353) into the hands of the King in favour of the said Earl and Dame Helenor Hay, his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct fee and the heirs male lawfully procreated and to be procreated between them, whom failing, the heirs male of the Earl bearing the surname and arms of Lewingstone and his assignees whomsoever.
