Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of John Masoun, town clerk of Air, notary public, narrating that William Rysyd, burgess of Air, resigned his yard commonly called the Orchert, which was formerly the property of James Bannatyne, lying on the west side (east side in No. GD86/348) of the Kow Vennell of the burgh of Air, between the lands or yard of the late William Ros on the south, and the lands of the late Alexander Bellisbank on the north, into the hands of John Rankene, one of the bailies of the burgh of Air, in favour of Adam Rysyd, his second son, procreated between him and Elizabeth Johnestoun, his spouse, to whom the bailie gave sasine, upon the ground of said yard, on 24th December 1602, under reservation of the liferent of the resigner. Further, the said William Rysyd constituted and ordained the said Adam Rysyd his cessioner and assignee in and to the right of reversion granted to him by William Rysyd, his son, brother of the said Adam, containing a crown of the Sun, or 5 merks Scots as the price thereof, and in and to the order of redemption made by him on 8th September 1601, for redemption of the said yard from the said William |
