Title |
Instrument of Sasine (injured by damp) under the hand of William Wallace, presbyter of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, following upon and narrating a precept of sasine in a charter of sale (dated at Air and Hesilsyid 7 and 8 November 1599) by John Symontoun of that Ilk and Jean Stewart, his spouse, granting to Quintin Crawfurd, son and heir apparent of William Crawfurd in Sillihoill, the two merkland of Barlosche (occupied by John Stratherne and Patrick Murdocht), the two merkland of Glenconar (occupied by William Murdoch and Patrick Murdoch) and the one merkland of Rattounraw (occupied by John Murdoch) lying contiguous, extending in the whole to a five merkland of old extent, all lying within the lands of Auchinbay, barony of Vchiltree, King's Kyle and sheriffdom of Air. Sasine given by Ewmond Park, bailie in that part of the granters, to the said Quintin Crawfurd upon the ground of said lands on 11th February 1600 |

Witnesses to the charter of sale, Mungo Crawfurd of Drumlaucht, Andrew Symontoun, son of the granters, William Wallace, notary public, John Kay in Glen, and Robert Symontoun, son of the granters. Witnesses to the sasine, William Murdoche in Glenconar, Patrick Murdoche, there, John Speir in Rattounraw, Patrick Murdoche in Barlosche, John Stratherne, elder, and John Stratherne yr. in Mosend.
