Title |
Charter of Resignation by the provost, bailies, council and community of the burgh of Air granting to Adam Johnestoun, burgess of Air, and Giles Fergushill, his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjuct infeftment and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, to the heirs and assignees of the said Adam whomsoever, one-half of the twenty shilling land of old extent of Twa-stane-croce (described in No. GD86/324), which formerly pertained to John Mure of Auchindrane, who resigned them into the hands of the granters at Air on 10th [? 20] May 15[98] in favour of the grantee: To be held de nobis, rendering therefor 8 shillings Scots yearly as specified in No. GD86/324: Reserving to the granters the duties and services specified in the ancient infeftments of said lands.
