Title |
Letters of Assurance by (1) Johnne Turnbull of Minto for himself and the remanent of the surname of Turnbull "cumit" and descended from the house of Minto, and also for the Turnbulls "cumit" of the houses of Halroull, Bairnehillis, Gatascot, David Daviesoune of the Cambes and the remanent of their kin friends "allya" etc., and (2) Hectour Turnbull of Wauchope for himself and the remainder of the Turnbulls "cumit" of the house of Wauchope, whereby in obedience to the king's letter they expressly assured Andro Ker of Fernehirst, Robert Ker of Nwttoun, his brother, and Thomas Ker of Kavers and their kin friends "allya" etc. that they should be "unhurt unhairmit invaidit molestit or trublit" for any deed or occasion committed by them against the granters until (date blank) at even.
