Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of John Masoun, town clerk of Air, notary public, narrating that James Hunter in Holmistoun, with consent of Annabel Stewart, his spouse, in consideration of a certain sum of money paid to him by John Power, son and heir of the late Gilbert Power, burgess of Air, resigned his tenement of land, back and fore, with yard and pertinents, lying in the Foul Vennell of the burgh of Air, between the tenement of Patrick Richie on the north and the said vennell on the south, into the hands of Adam Johneston, one of the bailies of the said burgh, in favour of the said John Power and his heirs, to whom the bailie gave sasine on 6th September 1594. Done qua the resignation in the lodging of the foresaid bailie within the burgh of Air on 18 May 1594, and qua the sasine upon the ground of the said tenement on 6th September, 1594.
