Title |
Certificate by Walter Boquhanane of that Ilk, templar bailie within the earldom of Levenax, that in terms of a precept of sasine (dated at Torfichin 18 November 1478) by Friar William Knowis, knight, preceptor of the House of the Hospital of the order of St. John of Jerusalem of Torfichin, he had given sasine to Walter McCalpene of the templar lands of Fynwik-Danand with the pertinents, lying within the earldom of Levenax and sheriffdom of Stirling, which John McCalpene, son and heir of the late Thomas McCalpene and Cristian McNar, his spouse, by his procurator had resigned into the hands of the said preceptor at the burgh of Linchqw [Linlithgow].
