Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of John McKnedar, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that in terms of his contract of marriage John Allane, burgess of Newtoun of [Air] resigned his tenement, back and fore, with yard and net, lying in the Newtoun [of Air] between the tenement of the late John Crichie on the north and the tenement of the late Robert Thome on the south, into the hands of Hugh Currie, one of the bailies of the said burgh, who thereupon gave sasine to him and Margaret Knycht, his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing to the heirs of the said John Allane whomsoever. Done upon the ground of said tenement on 12 December 1588 |
