Title |
Letters of Reversion by Robert Grahame of Knokdoliane and Elizabeth Simple, his spouse, narrating that Johnne Cunyngham of Drumquhasill had sold to them, and the longest liver of them in conjunct infeftment, and to the heirs lawfully gotten or to be gotten between them, whom failing, to the nearest heirs of the said Robert whomsoever,an annualrent of 27 bolls oatmeal (Glasgow measure) to be uplifted between 25th December and 2nd February furth of his lands of Killermound (occupied by Johnne Malene and Walter Malene) lying in the sheriffdom of Streveling; and that in terms of a contract (dated at Edinburgh 1st May 1585) entered into between them, it should be lawful to redeem said annualrent by payment in the Heich Kirk of Glasgow called Sanct Mungois Kirk of the sum of 900 merks Scots in the following instalments, viz:- 2 instalments of 250 merks each for redemption of 15 bolls of said annualrent, and 2 instalments of 200 merks each for redemption of 12 bolls; 40 days warning to be given and consignation if necessary to be in the hands of a responsible bailie or one of the council of the Burgh of Glasgow.
