Title |
Procuratory (in French) by Charles de Croy, Prince de Chimay etc., captain of a company of men at arms in his Majesty's service, narrating that he promised a life pension of 1000 florins great money of Flanders to Sir David Boyt, Scots Colonel, for signal service rendered to his Majesty, and has now agreed upon a heritable annualrent of 500 florins of the said money (payable September and March 15th) redeemable by the granter or his heirs for 8000 florins 'en deniers ayans cours au temps dudict rachapt' on 6 weeks' notice to be given at the domicile of Col. Boyt, his heirs, or assignees, in Flanders or Brabant; and that for the greater assurance of Col. Boyt he constitutes procurators to compear in the local courts and secure the rent upon the granter's lordship of Commines. At Bruxelles, 26th May 1587 |
