Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of Andrew Buchannane, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary, following upon and narrating a precept of sasine (dated at Dumbartane 27th May 1586) by John Logane of Balvey, addressed to Robert, Buntyne, burgess of Dumbartane, his bailie in that part, for infefting John Cuyninghame of Drumquhassill (in terms of a contract of even date here with entered into between them) in the 2½ merklands of Boquhinning-Logane, 2½ merklands of Camquhile-Logane, and a feu-farm duty of 5 merks Scots furth of the 2½ merklands of Camrovn-Logane, with the superiority thereof, lying in the dukery of Levinnox and sheriffdom of Striveling: To be held de me from Ludovick, Duke of Lennox. Sasine given by the bailie upon the ground of said lands on 30th May 1586 |

Witnesses to the Sasine, Mathew Cuyninghame, brother-german of John Cuyninghame of Drumquhassill, Murdoch Lecky of Croy-Lecky, Andrew Cuyninghame, servitors of the said John Cuyninghame, Bernard Cuyninghame in Boquhyning, William Cuyninghame fiar of Blairquhose, John McClay in Westir Ballindallocht and Patrick Neilsone his servitor. |
