Title |
Instrument under the hand of John Masoun, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that Adam Makcrechour, son and heir of the late Adam Makcrechour, burgess of Air, with consent of Andrew Stewart in Craighous and William Craufurd, burgess of said burgh, his curators, received from William Rysyd, burgess of said burgh, cessioner and assignee of William Wilsoun, burgess of said burgh, in and to the reversion aftermentioned, (1) the sum of £20 Scots for redemption of an acre of land which was sold by Wilsoun to the late Adam Makcrechour under reversion containing said sum, lying in the Sands of said burgh, in that portion leading from the barn of the late John McQuatty to an acre of land of the late Paul Reid, between an acre of land of Archibald Fergushill and the said acre of the late Paul Reid, and (2) the sum of £5 Scots for the tack of said acre granted by Wilsoun for 2 years following the redemption; and that the said Adam Makcrechour granted that the lands were lawfully redeemed by Rysyd. Further narrating that Makcrechour with consent of his curators resigned said acre into the hands of James Craufurd, one of the bailies of the burgh of Air, in favour of Rysyd and Agnes Bard, his spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, the heirs and assignees of the said William whomsover, to whom the bailie gave sasine accordingly; to be held of the provost, bailies and community of the burgh of Air in feu farm for payment of 12 pence Scots annually.
