Title |
Instrument of Sasine under the hand of William Bonar, presbyter of the diocese of St. Andrews, notary public, following upon and narrating a precept from Chancery (dated at Edinburgh 17 May 1471) addressed to the sheriff of Linlithqw and his bailies for infefting Gawin Levyngstone as heir of the late Patrick Levyngstoune of that Ilk, his uncle, in the lands of the barony of Levyngstoune with pertinents, lying within the bailiary of Linlithqw, and directing them to take security for £40 of relief due from said lands. Sasine given by Walter de Hammiltone, depute of the sheriff of Linlithqw, at the chief messuage of the said barony, on 21st May 1471 |
