Title |
Instrument under the hand of Walter Watsoun, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that John Conynghame of Drumquhassill passed to his lands of Ladinrew, extending to a forty shilling land of old extent, lying in the lordship of Drumquhassill and sheriffdom of Striveling, and there acknowledged that, in consideration of the sum of £200 Scots paid to him by William Buchquhennan in Fynwik-Intennent and Jonet Galbraith, his spouse, he sold to them, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment, and the heirs lawfully procreated or to be procreated between them, whom failing, to the heirs or assignees of the said William whomsoever, an annualrent of £20 Scots furth of said lands; and that he thereupon gave sasine to the said William Buchquhennan, personally present, and to Jonet Galbraith, his spouse, by the hands of James Conynghame, brother-german of William Conynghame of Fynwik-Drummond, her attorney, conform to power of attorney from Chancery, dated at Edinburgh 15th April a.r.14 (1581) |
