Title |
Charter of Confirmation by Alexander, commendator of the monastery of Coldinghame, and the convent thereof, confirming a Charter (dated at Quhitchester 20th May, 1577) by David Home of Fischeweik, granting to Margaret Dundas, his spouse, in liferent, his whole lands, as well the town and mains of Fischeweik as the salmon fishings etc. thereof lying in the sheriffdom of Berweik: To be held de me for payment to the commendator of Coldinghame and his successors of one penny Scots in name of blench farm: With precept of Sasine. The Charter of Confirmation provides that a sasine taken at any part of the town of Fischeweik should be sufficient notwithstanding that the lands do not lie contiguous. Witnesses to the Charter of Confirmation, Mr. Homer Blair, Adam Bruce, servant to the said David Home, Robert Hislop, Richard Cas and George Craig, notaries public.
