Title |
Notarial Copy, from the Protocol Book of Alexander Broun, notary public, of Instrument of Sasine narrating that Paul Reid resigned ten roods of land in the Sands (erenis) of the burgh of Air into the hands of George Lokhert, one of the bailies of the said burgh, in favour of Paul Reid, his son and apparent heir, to whom the bailie gave sasine of said lands, to be held of the provost, bailies and council of the said burgh in feu-farm and heritage according to the tenor of the ancient infeftments. The description of the lands is very faint and almost indecipherable, but the names of the following adjoining proprietors and places are still legible viz:- the late Hugh Vilsoun, - Patrik, Hugh Wallace, .... Vilsoun, the late John McQualy: Garrot Rodding, Carochan Burn. Done upon the ground of said lands on 13 January 1574-5 |
