Title |
Instrument under the hand of John Muschett, clerk of the diocese of Dunblane and clerk of the commissariot thereof, notary public, narrating that Willeame Edmonstoun of Duntreycht, on the narrative that a subsequent contract had been entered into between Archibald Edmonston of Spittellton, his brother's son, and James Edmonston of Ballinton, his cousin, regarding a marriage between the said Archibald and Marjory Edmonston, only daughter of the said James, and in order that the said marriage might take effect and the spouses be infeft in the lands aftermentioned, renounced, discharged and revoked (1) a former contract (dated at Edinburgh 12th June 1559), which he had entered into with the said James Edmonston, who bound himself to infeft him in the lands of Kingis Boquhoppill and the 6 merkland of Cessintullie lying in the stewartry of Menteytht, and sheriffdom of Perthe, and (2) all action and cause which he might have in virtue of said contract.
