Rental by Petir Dischingtoun, chamberlain of Kelso, rentalling and receiving as tenant George Ker, son of Thomas Ker of Cavers and "oye" to the late Mr. George Ker of Cavers, in and to (1) two husband-lands lying in the town and lands of Midlem, barony of Bolden and sheriffdom of Roxburght, and (2) a quarter of a land lying in the said town, barony and sheriffdom for his lifetime: paying yearly for each husband-land 25 shillings Scots, 3 cane fowls 3 carriages (one long and two short) and 3 "day vorkis", and for the quarter of land six shillings and three pence and duties and services "efferand as cumis to the haill"; with other duties and services used and wont.
