Title |
Rental by Petir Dischingtoun, chamberlain of Kelso, having power from Frances, commendator of Kelso, with consent of Thomas Ker of Cavers, rentalling and receiving as tenant George Ker, son of the said Thomas and "oy" to the late Mr. George Ker of Cavers, in and to (1) two husband-lands (of which the said Mr. George was last possessor and kindly tenant) lying in the town and lands of Midlem, barony of Bolden and sheriffdom of Roxburght, and (2) a quarter of a land (also occupied by the said Mr. George) lying in the said town, barony and sheriffdom for his lifetime; paying yearly for each husband-land 25 shillings Scots, 3 cane fowls, 3 carriages (one long and two short) and 3 "day warkis", and for the quarter of land 6 shillings and 3 pence and duties and services "efferrand as cumis to the hail land"; with other duties and services used and wont.
