Title |
Instrument of Resignation and Sasine under the hand of Alexander Broune, clerk of the diocese of Glasgow, notary public, narrating that John Broune, son and heir of the late Robert Broune, burgess of Air, in terms of his contract of marriage, resigned his two merkland of old extent of Knoksoule and Drumfarinehill lying in the Borrowfeild of the burgh of Air within the sheriffdom of the same into the hands of John Kirkpatrik, one of the bailies of Air, in favour of himself and Elizabeth Wallace, his future spouse, and the longer liver of them in conjunct infeftment and the heirs to be lawfully procreated between them, whom failing, the heirs of the said John whomsoever; and that the said bailie thereafter gave sasine to them of said lands, to be held of the provost, bailies, council and community of the burgh of Air in feu-farm according to the tenor of the ancient infeftments. Done upon the ground of said lands upon 18 August 1563 |
